HC Deb 18 February 1895 vol 30 c967
MR. J. DILLON (Mayo, E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury what is the reason why the landowners have not yet been paid compensation awarded to them for land taken for the Collooney and Claremorris Railway?

THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir J. T. HIBBERT, Oldham)

In a number of cases the compensation has been fixed by mutual agreement with the landowners, and they have already been paid. In the other cases where an agreement has not been come to, it is necessary to await the Arbitrator's final award, which is expected to be published within 14 days.
