—(Sir A. K. Rollit.)
§ The hon. Member explained that the appointment of a Committee was agreed to by the Government last year, but the necessary formalities were not carried out. This matter was one of great importance to trade, as we were isolated and had great difficulties in international business, in making quotations, tenders, specifications, &c., and so lost orders, and as his Motion only asked for a Committee of Inquiry he hoped the House would assent to it.
§ Motion agreed to.
