HC Deb 30 April 1895 vol 33 cc123-4
MR. THOMAS BAYLEY

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, what steps the Government propose to take with regard to slavery in the islands of Zanzibar and Pemba, upon the report of Mr. Hardinge?

SIR E. GREY

I hope Mr. Hardinge's reports and other papers on this subject will be in the hands of Members this week, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement as to the steps which will be taken.
