§ MR. C. J. DARLING (Deptford)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Supreme Court of Buenos Ayres has ordered the extradition of Jabez Balfour; and whether Jabez Balfour is yet in the custody of an officer of Her Majesty's Government.
§ SIR E. GREYWe are informed that the Supreme Court dismissed the final appeal, and that the British Police Officer was starting in charge of Balfour on board the Tartar Prince. I desire to take this opportunity of expressing satisfaction, which I am sure will be shared by the House, at the friendly conduct of the Argentine Government in fulfilling the Treaty obligations which now exist between the two Governments.
