HC Deb 04 April 1895 vol 32 c915
SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will state to the House the names of the proposed Welsh Commissioners before asking the House to consider the Established Church (Wales) Bill in Committee?

MR. ASQUITH

I do not expect to be in a position to state the names of the proposed Commissioners before going into Committee. The names will, of course, be given, as was done in the case of the Irish Church Bill, in good time before the clause is reached.

SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

said the names would occur early in the Bill.

MR. ASQUITH

They are much later than in the case of the Irish Church Bill. I will take care adequate time is given.
