HC Deb 01 April 1895 vol 32 c574
MR. H. PAUL (Edinburgh, S.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether a petition from the junior section of the Second Division Clerks in the Civil Service, asking for an increase of salary and an addition to their annual leave of absence, was received by the Treasury last December; whether the Treasury have yet arrived at any decision on the subject; and when the petitioners may expect a reply?

MR. J. A. RENTOUL (Down, E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether it is intended to take any action with regard to the memorial forwarded to the Treasury in December last by the Second Division Clerks appointed under the Order in Council of 21st March, 1890, and to which no reply has been received?

*THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir JOHN HIBBERT, Oldham)

The memorial referred to in these questions is still under consideration, and I cannot say when an answer will be given.
