§ MR. A. C. MORTONI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Colonial Office have considered the possibility of an early Dissolution of the Newfoundland House of Assembly being asked for; and whether the Government will consider the advisability or recommending the Governor General of the Colony to refuse to consent to a Dissolution, at least until after all the Election Petitions have been dealt with by the Law Courts.
§ MR. S. BUXTONThe late Government in Newfoundland resigned because the Governor refused to grant them a 1281 Dissolution, but I cannot answer a hypothetical question.
