MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick's)I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether his attention has been directed to the meetings in the Mansion House, Dublin, with reference to the American mails via. Queenstown; and whether he can state when a reply will be given to the requests of the deputation to the Chief Secretary of Ireland on this subject?
§ MR. A. MORLEYI have received copies of the resolutions passed at the meeting held at the Mansion House, Dublin, on the 18th instant, and reports of the deputation which waited subsequently on the Chief Secretary. I am happy to be able to say that the Government has decided to terminate the existing contract, and the necessary steps will be at once taken for inviting new tenders.
