HC Deb 23 May 1894 vol 24 c1131

Motion made, and Question proposed, That the Select Committee on Land Acts (Ireland) do consist of Seventeen Members, and that Mr. Solicitor General be added to the Committee."—(Mr. J. Morley.)

MR. T. M. HEALY (Louth, N.)

I beg to ask is it the case that Lord Justice Fitzgibbon has applied on his own motion to be heard before this Committee?

MR. J. MORLEY

No, Sir; it is by my wish that Lord Justice Fitzgibbon has consented to come and give evidence before the Committee.

MR. T. W. RUSSELL (Tyrone, S.)

With reference to Lord Justice Fitz-gibbon's coming before the Committee, I should like to ask on what point he is coming to be examined upon?

* MR. SPEAKER

This is only a Motion as to the addition of a Member to the Committee, and I do not think that such a question can be raised upon it, except as to the name of the substitute Member.

Motion agreed to.
