HC Deb 22 May 1894 vol 24 c997
DR. MACGREGOR (Inverness-shire)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether ho will consider the expediency of lessening expenditure and simplifying procedure by giving the control and management of schools to the Parish Councils about to be created under the Local Government (Scotland) Bill?

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Sir G. TREVELYAN,) Glasgow, Bridgeton

The question is raised by instructions to the Committee on the Local Government (Scotland) Bill, and the discussion on the question had better be reserved till then.
