HC Deb 10 May 1894 vol 24 c764
MR. MACDONA (Southwark, Rotherhithe)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies if the war in South Africa may now be considered as over; and, if so, will he forthwith bring under the notice of the Government for honourable mention and such distinction as are generally conferred upon administrators who have, either in this country or in the colonies, carried wars to a successful issue?

MR. S. BUXTON

The war in Matabeleland may be considered as over; as regards the latter part of the question, I am not able to make any statement on the matter.
