HC Deb 15 March 1894 vol 22 c346
MR. FIELD

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Government are considering a scheme for the establishment of a Board of Agriculture for Ireland, which was promised favourable consideration by the late Premier?

MR. J. MORLEY

(who replied) said: My right hon. Friend the Member for Midlothian, in answering a similar question a short time ago, said— We have no proposal to make upon the subject, but shall be triad to find some opportunity of considering a plan for that purpose. I should like, however, to see the evidence taken before a Select Committee, which I\ hope the House would appoint, before consenting to a proposal for the establishment of a board of Agriculture for Ireland.
