§ MR. TAYLOR (Norfolk, S.)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether in this present year Overseers will have to be nominated and surveyors to be elected at the parish meetings which ought to be held on the 2otb of March (or within 14 days thereof), or will the present officials continue to hold office until November next, in like manner as the Guardians?
§ * THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. SHAW LEFEVRE,) Bradford, CentralOverseers and surveyors of highways are not continued in office by the Local Government Act, and it will be necessary in the present year that these officers should be appointed at the same time and in the same manner as if the Act had not passed.
