§ MR. W. KENNY (Dublin, St. Stephen's Green)I bog to ask the Postmaster General whether the revision in the Limerick postal and telegraph staff's which has been pending for the past two years has yet been sanctioned; if the Returns of Duties and the Revised Scheme for the working of the Limerick Post Office were submitted in October last: and if he will state what is the cause of the delay, and when the revision is likely to be settled?
§ * MR.A. MORLEYThe hon. Member is mistaken in supposing that any revision of these staffs has been pending for the last two years. A revision of the postal side of the Office—involving a few minor alterations—has, however, recently been under consideration, and is now before the Treasury, and it is hoped that it will shortly be carried out. Inquiries which have recently been made respecting the 311 telegraph work appear to indicate that there is waste of force in certain duties; and I am having this question carefully investigated.
