HC Deb 14 June 1894 vol 25 c1089
MR. BROOKE ROBINSON (Dudley)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the proper and humane treatment of cab horses, alike by proprietors and drivers, and the condition of the stables, will be taken into consideration by the Departmental Committee in the inquiry now making into the cab arrangements of the Metropolis?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. ASQUITH,) Fife, E.

A desire was expressed at the preliminary meeting of the Committee held last Monday that this subject might be considered by the Committee, and steps have already been taken to obtain information on the matter.
