MORLEY,) Nottingham, E.The total amount of deposits and investments standing in the name of the various Trade Societies of the United Kingdom in the Post Office Savings Banks on the 31st of October, 1893—the latest date for which statistics are available—was: From 491 Trade Societies with balances over £300, £327,672; from 2,534 Trade Societies with balances under £300, £168,848, making a total of £496,520, including £521 in Government Stock. I have made inquiry of the National Debt Commissioners, but they are unable to furnish the figures respecting Trustee Savings Banks.
