HC Deb 31 July 1894 vol 27 c1492

Bill considered in Committee.

(In the Committee.)

MR. T. M. HEALY

Could not this Bill be made to apply to Ireland?

MR. PAULTON (Durham, Bishop's Auckland)

That point has been carefully considered, but it was found that the conditions obtaining in Ireland with regard to these institutions differed so widely from those in England that the extension would lead to great difficulty and inconvenience, and it would be better not to make it.

Bill reported without Amendment; read the third time, and passed, without Amendment.
