HC Deb 27 July 1894 vol 27 c1218

Lords' Amendments considered.

MR. LEGH (Lancashire, S.W., Newton)

said, the proposal in the Bill was that the Revising Barristers should be appointed by the Judges on Circuit. What was to be done in the cases of Judges who had completed their Circuit? It was perfectly clear that those Judges would not be able to make the appointments; and who, then, would make them?

MR. SHAW-LEFEVRE

said, there was power given to the Judges to make the appointments even after they had concluded Circuit.

Lords Amendments agreed to.
