WEDDERBURN (Banffshire)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether the Correspondence dealing with the recommendations of the Indian Public Service Commission of 1886, regarding the special departments of the Indian administration referred to by Lord Cross in the last paragraph (37) of his Despatch, No. Public 104, dated London, 12th September, 1889, is yet complete; and whether this Correspondence with the Orders (if any) passed by the Secretary of State in connection therewith will be laid upon the Table of the House?
§ MR. H. H. FOWLERThe correspondence is not yet complete. As I informed my hon. Friend on the 15th of March last, there will be no objection to laying it on the Table of the House when it is complete, if he will move for it.
