HC Deb 25 July 1894 vol 27 c951

Order for Second Reading read.

MR. COZENS-HARDY (Norfolk, N.)

moved the Second Reading of this Bill. It was introduced by Lord Halsbury, was approved by the present Lord Chancellor, and was intended to correct what had proved to be a blunder in the present Act. There was nothing controversial or contentious in the Bill, and the hon. Member who objected on the last occasion it was before the House was now satisfied that there was no ground for objection.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time."—(Mr. Cozens-Hardy.)

SIR F. S. POWELL (Wigan)

I am quite satisfied now.

Motion agreed to.

Bill read a second time, and committed for Wednesday next.
