HC Deb 23 July 1894 vol 27 c665
MR. BIRKMYRE (Ayr, &c.)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether he has taken any steps towards the examination of Campbeltown Loch, with a view to the establishment of a fish hatchery there for the West Coast of Scotland; and, if not, whether he proposes to take any steps in the direction indicated before the close of the present season?

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Sir G. TREVELYAN,) Glasgow, Bridgeton

I am informed by the Fishery Board that the subject was brought before them at their last meeting in connection with previous correspondence, and they decided in the meantime to delay its consideration. In these circumstances, I do not propose to suggest that any further steps should be taken by the Board at the present time.
