HC Deb 26 February 1894 vol 21 cc1031-2
MR. GRIFFITH-BOSCAWEN (Kent, Tunbridge)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether it is a fact that great delays have occurred in filling up vacancies in the surveying branch of the Secretary's office of the General Post Office; and, if he can state the reason for such delays?

*MR. A. MORLEY

I think that the hon. Member must be under some misapprehension. In the Surveyors' establishment, which, I may observe, is quite distinct from the Secretary's office, there is no more than one vacancy; and this occurred only a few weeks ago.
