HC Deb 20 February 1894 vol 21 c841
MR. BEITH (Inverness, &c.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland when the Reports of the Fishery Commissioners in the matter of the dispute between Scotch and Irish fishermen at Kinsale will be printed; and whether any order directing a close season for mackerel fishing, or prohibiting herring fishing, in the Kinsale waters, will be postponed until the Fishery Commissioners' Report is printed and in the hands of Members?

MR. J. MORLEY

A copy of the Report of the Inspectors of Fisheries, together with notes of the evidence taken at the inquiries held by them in this matter, will be laid on the Table of the House this evening. Legislation will be necessary to give effect to the recommendations of the Inspectors as set forth in their Report, and I hope to introduce a Bill with this object, early in the coming Session.
