HC Deb 20 February 1894 vol 21 c848
MR. WEIR

; I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether Sheriff Hill, of Dingwall, Ross-shire, has a knowledge of the Gaelic language?

*THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. B. BALFOUR)

As this question has only appeared on the Paper to-day, I have not had time to communicate with Sheriff Hill, but I have no reason to suppose that he has a knowledge of the Gaelic language.
