HC Deb 13 February 1894 vol 21 c382
MR. CARSON

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has yet received any Report from the Fisheries Commissioners who investigated the matters in dispute between the Scotch fishermen and the Irish fishermen at Kinsale; and whether the application of the Kinsale fishermen for an Order directing a close season for mackerel fishing has been or will be complied with?

MR. J. MORLEY

The Report of the Inspectors of Irish Fisheries respecting the herring and mackerel fisheries at Kinsale was submitted to the Lord Lieutenant last year, and I shall, in all probability, bring in a Bill at the earliest possible moment in the next Session, giving effect to the recommendations of the Inspectors.

MR. CARSON

Has the Report been published, or is it available for hon. Members in any way?

MR. J. MORLEY

Certainly it has not been published; but I will see if it can be laid before the House.
