WEIRI beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works if he will state why no effect has been given to the recommendations of the Select Committee on Ventilation, 1891, that the extraction shafts, common to all the rooms, be furnished with non-return or back-pressure valves, in order to prevent down draughts, and that the existing ventilating furnace arrangements be improved?
§ SIR J. T. HIBBERTThe whole of the improvements in the ventilation of this building which were recommended by the Select Committee of 1891 have been carried out.
§ MR. WEIRThe First Commissioner of Works declared the other day that no alteration had been made. I shall have to put another question on this subject.
