§ VISCOUNT WOLMERI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury what arrangement has been come to between the Treasury and the Town Council of Edinburgh to repay to the City of Edinburgh the £2,000 paid last year into the Treasury by the North British Railway Company in compensation for part of the Castle rock taken for the improvement of the Company's lines?

HIBBERTI am informed that the Corporation of Edinburgh have received a sum of £2,000 for their interest in the lands in question held by them from the Crown, and I do not understand what supposed arrangement is referred to, there being nothing left to arrange so far as the Woods and Forests are concerned. The compensation received by the Commissioners of Woods and Forests for the Crown's interest was carried to the capital account of the Laud Revenue.
