SCHWANNI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is acquainted with the fact of the insufficient length of the present rifle range at Mount Lavinia, Ceylon, and that, as a consequence, the men of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, although supplied with the Lee-Metford rifle, have to be practised in rifle-firing with the obsolete Martini-Henry rifle; and whether instructions have been sent out to push forward the establishment of adequate ranges at Bandarawella and elsewhere in Ceylon?
