I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India possesses the usual and necessary reserve of the new rifle?

Seventy thousand Magazine .303 rifles have been sent to India. This number includes one-third for reserve, the usual proportion. The established strength of the British Infantry in India is 52,017 non-commissioned officers and men.
