§ MR. PAULTON (Durham, Bishop Auckland)
I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been called to a statement made recently in the Press, that a number of headless bodies had been washed ashore near Salonica; and if he can say whether there is any foundation either for the report or for the suspicions which are alleged to have been aroused by it?
§ THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir E. GREY,) Northumberland, Berwick
I did see the statement to this 954 effect in the Press, but I am glad to be able to say, in answer to my hon. Friend, that it is absolutely without any foundation in fact.
