I regret to say that four persons have been killed at this crossing since the opening of the docks in 1886. 823 As I stated last week, powers have been taken by the Company to abolish this crossing, and I have directed an Inspector to visit the spot and confer with the Company as to the precautions to be taken until the work has been executed.
§ COLONEL LOCKWOOD (Essex, Epping)
Have the Board of Trade no power to compel the Railway Company to take more effective precautionary measures?
