HC Deb 07 September 1893 vol 17 c471
MR. STUART-WORTLEY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any information as to the serious rioting in various colliery districts?

MR. ASQUITH

I have telegraphed to the Chief Constable of the West Riding for a full Report. I regret to say that very serious disturbances are reported to have taken place at Knottingley; but I am not able to give the House any information.
