HC Deb 05 September 1893 vol 17 c115
SIR R. TEMPLE

asked whether Her Majesty's Government would object to any Commercial Treaties being concluded by Siam with any Foreign Power, which infringed the most-favoured-nation privileges possessed by England under existing Treaties?

SIR E. GREY

said that, according to the information at their disposal, there was no intention of infringing the provisions of our Treaty with Siam. That being so, he had nothing to add to the statement which he made to the House on the previous day, and that which was made by the Secretary of State in another place.
