HC Deb 01 September 1893 vol 16 c1723
MR. BENN (Tower Hamlets, St. George's)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he can inform the House what is the state of the proceedings of the Royal Commission on the Unification of London; and whether the Commission is now waiting for evidence or information from either or which of the Municipalities concerned?

*MR. H. H. FOWLER

The Royal Commission on the Unification of London have taken evidence as to the powers and duties of the Local Authorities in London, and also evidence on behalf of the County Council. The Commission have now adjourned until next month, and they hope, on re-assembling, to take the evidence of the Corporation and the Commissioners of Sewers.
