HC Deb 01 September 1893 vol 16 c1708
MR. ARNOLD-FORSTER (Belfast, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can now state how many persons have been committed in Ireland since the 22nd September, 1892, under the Act 34 Edw. III., c. 1?

MR. J. MORLEY

I am informed that since August 22, 1892, which is presumably the date intended to be meant by the hon. Gentleman, the number of persons committed to prison in default of providing sureties to be of good behaviour, under the Act 34 Edw. III., c. I, has been 21.
