§ MR. PICTON (Leicester)I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education whether Article 34 of the Code as to declining to recognise pupil teachers has been put in force in the case of any school since the Scholarship Examination of 1892?
§ MR. ACLANDMy hon. Friend will understand that no special list is kept of such cases. I have made careful inquiry in the Department, and have not been able to find any instance in which the provision has been put in force during the past year.
