WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether it is a fact that there are now two district auditors 1369 in the employment of the Local Government Board who have attained the respective ages of 71 and 66; whether under the provision of the 10th clause of the Order in Council of 15th August, 1890, and the letter of the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, these officers should be compulsorily retired; and who is responsible for these gentlemen continuing in office?
