§ *MR. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANWhen the rifles of early manufacture were first issued complaints were made in regard to the bolt and bolt-head. Modifications were introduced and have been applied to all arms of the pattern in question. Since the introduction of these improvement all complaints have practically ceased, and no failures have been reported.
