I beg to ask the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what was the aggregate amount of the Parliamentary Vote for new works and buildings and the sites thereof, as specified in the Navy Estimates for the years 1891–2, 1892–3, and 1893–4, the amount expended thereon in each of the financial years of 1891–2 and 1892–3, and the aggregate sum of the Re-Votes for these purposes for the years 1891–2, 1892–3, and 1893–4.

The net Vote for new works and buildings and the sites thereof, exclusive of superintendence and repairs, for 1891–2, was £281,605; for 1892–3, £308,114; and for 1893–4, £234,489. The net expenditure for 1891–2 was £237,349; that estimated for 1892–3, £270,700. The Re-Votes for 1891–2, £14,900; for 1892-3, £22,100; and for 1893–4, £34,450.
