HC Deb 15 May 1893 vol 12 c925
MR. JACKSON (Leeds, N.)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, in view of the fact that under the Home Rule Bill the guarantees and the Guarantee Fund prescribed by the Purchase of Land (Ireland) Act will no longer exist, it is intended to make further issues of Guaranteed Land Stock under the authority of that Act after the passing of the Home Rule Bill?

MR. W. E. GLADSTONE

There is no intention to interfere in any way whatever with the working of the Land Purchase Act. All proceedings under that Act will go on as heretofore. It may be found necessary to introduce some Amendment into the Bill for enabling that object to be attained; but due notice will be given of any such Amendment.
