PARKER SMITH (Lanark, Partick)I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the Book of Instructions known as the Warehousing Code, at present in use in the Customs and Excise Services, was issued to these Departments; how many of its paragraphs have been superseded or altered by General Orders since its issue; and when a revised issue will be supplied to those Services?
§ SIR J. T. HIBBERTThe Instructions referred to were issued on January 1, 1885. Many paragraphs have been superseded or altered since then. A revised edition is being prepared, and, it is hoped, will be supplied in the course of the present year.
