HC Deb 08 May 1893 vol 12 c341
MR. J.E.ELLIS (Nottingham, Rushcliffe)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can now, for the general convenience of Members, state when the Government propose that the House should adjourn for, and reassemble after, the Whitsuntide Recess?

MR. W. E. GLADSTONE

It is the intention of the Government to propose to the House that we should sit next as usual in point of time, but that the Morning Sitting on Friday should be devoted to Supply, and that the House should then adjourn until Monday week following.
