HC Deb 08 May 1893 vol 12 c343
MR. STUART WORTLEY (Sheffield, Hallam)

On behalf of the hon. Member for West Derby Division of Liverpool, I beg to ask the hon. Member for Merionethshire whether the Charity Commissioners can see their way to appoint three additional Trustees in the case of the Fussell's Charity, South Wraxall, as indicated in their letter of 18th January last to Mr. Pinckney, as it appears that is the only way the present unfortunate deadlock can be terminated?

MR. T. E. ELLIS

The Charity Commissioners have already intimated to Mr. Pinckney that they are prepared to proceed with the appointment of additional Trustees of the Fussell Charity. But, in order to enable such Trustees to take part with the Incumbent and Churchwardens in the selection of beneficiaries, it is considered to be advisable that the appointment should be effected by way of scheme. The Commissioners have requested Mr. Pinckney to apply for such a scheme, which he declines to do; and in these circumstances the Commissions are unable to proceed with the matter.
