CURZON (Lancashire, Southport)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India (1) whether it is true, as reported, that the military operations against the Kachin Tribes east of the Irrawaddy river have been suspended; (2) whether this indicates any change of policy on the part of Her Majesty's Government; (3) and what progress is being made in negotiations with the Chinese Government for the settlement of the Burmo-Chinese frontier.
