§ SIR JOHN GORSTI beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps Her Majesty's Government propose to take to give effect to the Resolution of the House in reference to Naval Establishments of the 6th inst., and to the declaration made in reference to the Government Establishments in general by the Secretary of State for War in the course of the Debate which took place in the House on that Resolution?

I stated in the Debate referred to that as soon as the facts were fully ascertained action in application of the principle adopted by the House would be taken in each public Department concerned, where a necessity for it was disclosed.
