HC Deb 11 March 1893 vol 9 c1718
MR. THORBURN (Peebles and Selkirk)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether he can give any information as to the intentions of the Government as regards the introduction of a general measure dealing with salmon fishing in Scotch rivers?

SIR G. TREVELYAN

I have several times given an answer on this question, to the effect that, when the Deep Sea Fishery Bill now before the House is disposed of, the Government will approach the question of legislation about salmon, especially with regard to the Tweed and the Solway.

MR. THORBURN

I was not aware that the question had been answered before.
