HC Deb 08 March 1893 vol 9 c1387

"That 76,700 men and boys be employed for the Sea and Coast Guard Services for the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1894, including 15,003 Royal Marines."

MR. A. C. MORTON (Peterborough)

I wish, Sir, to ask why the Navy Appropriation Accounts—without which the matter cannot be fully discussed—were not circulated this year before the Vote was taken? Last year we got them on the 26th February, some days before the Vote was taken.

THE SECRETARY TO THE ADMIRALTY (Sir U. KAY-SHUTTLE-WORTH,) Lancashire, Clitheroe

I cannot give the hon. Member the information he requires, as the Secretary to the Treasury is not here, but I will cause inquiry to be made.

Resolution agreed to.
