HC Deb 07 March 1893 vol 9 cc1326-7

Bill considered in Committee.

(In the Committee.)

Clause 1.

MR. T. P. O'CONNOR (Liverpool, Scotland)

said, he would appeal to the Government to consider whether there could not be engrafted on this Bill an Amendment which would deal with many grievous cases in Ireland, where the minority of the population was deprived of representation on Municipal Corporations? He was glad to think that the hon. Member in charge of the Bill was in sympathy with them. It would he well to defer the Bill for a day or two.

THE CHAIRMAN

The hon. Gentleman is not entitled to raise that question. He must do it at some other stage, or in some other way. At present the Question before the House is Clause 1.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again."—(Dr. Tanner.)

Motion agreed to.

Committee report Progress; to sit again To-morrow.
