HC Deb 02 March 1893 vol 9 c834
MR. PIERPOINT (Warrington)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether Sir Adriano Dingli, Chief Justice of Malta, has been appointed Vice President of the Council with a salary of £150 a year, to be paid out of the Civil List of the Islands; and whether this sum is in addition to the salary of £1,000 a year, which he receives as Chief Justice?

MR. BUXTON

The answer to both questions is "yes." I may add that Her Majesty's Government consider themselves fortunate in having secured the services of Sir Adriano Dingli as Vice President of the Council.
