HC Deb 02 March 1893 vol 9 c825
MR. MACARTNEY (Antrim, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland what was the number of the non-agrarian offences committed in the County of Clare for the quarter ending the 31st December, 1892?

MR. J. MORLEY

The Inspector General reports that the number of non-agrarian outrages reported in Clare for the three months ended December 31, 1892, was 30, of which nine were threatening notices.

MR. T. M. HEALY

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that large tracts of County Clare have been, by the decision of the Court of Appeal in Ireland, excluded from the operations of the Land Act, and that it is in regard to this that the troubles arise?
